This article deals with a calculation of a temperature of a cylindrical battery cell using a thermal network. The cell is modeled as a cylindrical body with different thermal conductivity in radial and axial direction. The considered thermal network requires a calculation of only one node temperature that represents an average temperature of the whole cell. Results of the calculations are compared using a finite element method and a very good coincidence is achieved.
